Simple Frock – Construction
A – B	Full Length + ½”
A – C	¼ Chest
D – C	1 ¼”
D – E	¼ Chest – ¼”
	Square Down from E to F
C – G	¼ Chest + 1 ½”
B – H	Same as C – G + 1 ½”
	Join G – H.
H – I	¾” . Shape B – I
	Keep  1 ½” above D – E for inturns
	Keep 1 ½  below B – I for inturns
Length of Suspenders	¼ Chest + 5”

 

 





Notes & Tips:

Suspenders should be joined at D - E.
Chest Line, Scye & Bottom hem can also be finished with contrast piping or binding.
Also can add a pocket on Centre Chest or at Bottom.
 

A- Line Frock

A-Line Frock

1. Mark a point and name it as O which is the starting point.

2. O - A = 1/4 Chest round+ 1.5cm (1/2") which is chest level.

3. O - B = Length + 0.5" - Frill width which is the full length.

4. O - C = 1/12 Chest round + 1/4" which is the neck width.

5. O - D = 1/12 Chest round + 1/2" which is the front neck depth.

6. O - E = 1/4 Chest round + 1/4" or Across Shoulder + 1/4" which is the shoulder line.

7. Square down from E - F.

8. E - G = 1/2" which is the shoulder slope.

9. Join C-G as shown.

10. A - H = 1/4 Chest round + 1 1/2" which is the chest line. 

11. E - I = 1"

12. Shape Scye H,I & J.

13. B - K = same as A to H + 1.5".

14. Join K H.

15. K - L = 0.5".

16. Shape bottom B - L as shown.

1.  O - M = 3/4" which is back neck depth.

2. Shape neck and scye.... as shown.
